Icosium was the original name of modern day Algiers (Capital of Algeria) or Al Jazair in Arabic. North Africa with it’s Atlas Mountains, standing as a barrier to the crawling vast Sahara, in the south was and still is a fertile ground to the best fruit, vegetables, grains, oils, meats, fish, game and dry climate to store it all.

That is why lcosium was called” THE PANTRY OF EUROPE” Belkacem El Metennani, native of the lcosium Region and the mind behind the lcosium Kafe experience, is bringing some of the wide variety of dishes “TAGINES” that North Africa is known for.
